Bill of Sale to James Maget for Negro Girl
Registered July 23, 1852

Received of James Maget Five hundred and fifty dollars in full of a Negro Girl named Sarah aged Eleven years old sound sensible and a slave for life.  I also Warrant the title of said girl against the claims of any or all persons whatever this 23d day of July 1852.

Personally appeared before me James M. Nicholson Clerk of the County Court of Jefferson Mitchells & Branner by B. Mitchell the Bargainor with whom I am personally acquainted and acknowledged that he Executed the within Bill of Sale for the purposes therein contained.  Witness my hand at office in Dandridge this 23 day of July 1852.
